Why This Matters

Our Goals
We work to educate the public about qualified immunity and its consequences. Most Americans have never heard of this doctrine, yet it affects everyone's civil rights. Through clear explanations, real case studies, and actionable resources, we aim to build the public support necessary for reform.
We support legislative efforts at both the federal and state level to eliminate or reform qualified immunity. Colorado, New Mexico, and New York City have already taken steps to restore accountability. We believe every state should follow.

This site is a project of the Ohio Coalition to End Qualified Immunity, a grassroots organization working to reform qualified immunity in Ohio and support federal legislation to end it nationwide.
